On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, The Niagara Home Builders’ Association hosted their annual Christmas Celebration, marking their first in person Holiday dinner since 2019, which took place at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre in St. Catharines.
For almost 20 years, the NHBA has paid recognition to the individuals and companies that are responsible for the Associations’ presence and viability, by awarding both a Member of the Year Award and Nick Basciano Company of the Year Award.
John Musso, Site Supervisor for Mountainview Building Group and NHBA Board Member, took home this year’s “Member of the Year” Award.
In his address to the audience, NHBA Vice President, Richard Lawrence noted that John continues to sustain a hands on role within the industry, while increasingly committing his time to various committees both inside and outside of the NHBA. John’s practical knowledge of the construction industry allows him to actively provide meaningful and educated insight, while continuing his commitment to the growth and development of the Association as a whole.
With an Association of over 140 Member companies, this year’s “Nick Basciano Company of the Year” Award recipient was Niagara’s own Mountainview Building Group
Withstanding a strong presence in the building industry, Mountainview Building Group has been a pivotal part of shaping the Niagara Region and the industry as a whole.
With numerous accolades and awards having been bestowed to their homes and subdivisions throughout the Region, Mountainview continues to give back into the local community where it is needed the most, including contributions to Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, Pathstone Mental Health, Hospice Niagara, Niagara Children’s Centre and Project SHARE just to name a few. Mountainview was also named NHBA Builder of the Year in July of 2021.
