NHBA Announces 2022 Scholarship Recipients

For over 12 years, The Niagara Home Builders’ Association has been granting scholarships to individuals entering post-secondary education.

The Scholarship Program was established to recognize the importance of continuing educational studies beyond high school. Since its conception, the NHBA has awarded over $40,000 to students pursuing a career within a variety of fields which have included, but not limited to; engineering, health sciences, teaching and business studies.

This year, five (5) young individuals were awarded scholarships, each following a different career path.

The winners of the 2022 NHBA scholarship include:

Abigail Davidson

Sponsored by Mountainview Building Group, Abigail will attend Western University in London, ON, working toward her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Organizational Studies

Ainsley Nickerson

Sponsored by Nickerson Appliances, Ainsley will be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University)

Hailey DeMelo

Sponsored by Mountainview Building Group, Hailey will continue her educational studies at Brock University, striving to achieve her Master’s Degree in Applied Disabilities Studies

Lily Mammel

Sponsored by Stantec Consulting Inc, Lily has selected to attend Guelph University this fall, working on obtaining a Bachelor of Science, Honors Major Neuroscience

Serafina Dell

Sponsored by Dell Smart Home Solutions, Serafina will be attending Brock University to study Nursing.

Awarded scholarship funds are raised through the Associations annual “Golf Classic” which took place this year on June 7, 2022 at Thundering Waters Golf Club in Niagara Falls.
