The Benefits of Membership

Being a member of the Niagara Home Builders’ Association makes good sense!

Government Representation at Three Level

Being a member of the NHBA automatically makes you also a member of the Federal (CHBA) and Provincial (OHBA) Housing Associations. Representatives at all three levels of the Association interact regularly with elected officials and bureaucrats advocating on behalf of the members.

Industry Advocacy

NHBA often has an automatic seat at the table and actively participates on various municipal and regional liaison committees. The interests of NHBA members have been articulated on issues such as Development Charges, Municipal Fees and streamlining local Building Department processes.

Communication

Information relating to industry issues promptly emailed to keep you informed. The NHBA Web Site links member services and products to the consumer.

Networking

Opportunities for builders, suppliers, developers and allied professionals to develop new relationships are available by attending general meetings and social functions.

Dinner Meetings

NHBA members meet multiple times a year. An excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, keep informed on the latest issues affecting the industry and association activities.

Learning and Development

Through education seminars, construction related courses, training/certification courses, and builder & renovator forums. For small businesses, it is often difficult to keep track of legislative changes and educational and training opportunities. NHBA communicates and facilitates such opportunities.

Credibility / Branding

The NHBA logo identifies your company as an industry professional. By signing the Code of Ethics pledge, consumers can be assured of your company’s credibility and commitment to fair business practices, good community planning and service requirements. Association members use their membership and the distinctive logo to set themselves apart from part-timers, “tail-gaters” and underground contractors.

Awards & Recognition

The Awards of Excellence, Member of the Year, Company of the Year and Wall of Fame Awards, recognize companies and individuals for their outstanding dedication in the residential construction industry.

Discounts

Enjoy specially designed benefits and insurance programs just for members.

Promoting Your Company

Through advertising opportunities on the NHBA Website, posting to social media Facebook – Twitter – LinkedIn; participation in Association events; and using of the NHBA logo lets people know that your company has the knowledge, experience, and commitment it takes to succeed in this industry.
