NHBA ANNOUNCES 2025 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
NOVEMBER 2024 – ST. CATHARINES, ON — The Niagara Home Builders’ Association welcomed their incoming 2025 Board of Directors during the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Holiday Inn Conference Centre in St. Catharines.
NHBA CEO, Chuck McShane addressed the audience, thanking the current Board for their dedication to the Association, and expressed that they are moving in a positive direction, with many new initiatives being proposed for the upcoming term.
“Over the past year, the NHBA Board of Directors and its Members have continued to build an Association that is stronger with each passing day” states McShane. “We look forward to working alongside our Board, as well as the future growth of the NHBA”
Paul Savoia will continue into his second term as NHBA President for 2025, along with Kelly Anderson as Vice President and John Musso as Second VP.
Richard Lawrence, who served as NHBA President for two consecutive terms will remain on the Board as past President and Treasurer, as well as represent the NHBA at the Provincial level on the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA) Board of Directors as Co-Chair, Central Regional Group.

“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to both the Board and our entire Membership for supporting and believing in me to lead this Association. In 2025 the NHBA will celebrate a milestone of 70 years in operation. This is no small feat and could not be accomplished without the sacrifices of our past successors and vision of our future leaders. I am proud to plant my feet and add to the path of success that so many have created before me, and will continue to build after me, growing progressively and creating positive change for our industry” states NHBA President, Paul Savoia.
The NHBA also paid tribute to two outgoing Directors, including industry veteran, Yvonne Hendriks, who has played a vital role in shaping the Association, holding the roles of President and Director.
The NHBA also said goodbye to Mike Crough who served over 5 years on the Board of Directors, lending his expertise to a variety of Association advocacy efforts.
The newly elected Board, along with their Government Relations Committee, Members and partners look forward to focusing on their shared passion of promoting the Niagara Region; including building strong and sustainable communities, profiling the Region as a desired place to work and live and focusing on the housing affordability crisis.
The NHBA Board includes both Builder and Non-Builder representation, whose responsibilities include but are not limited to; ensuring the Association is in compliance regarding; legal obligations, acting within the scope of the organizations governing policies, rules and regulations that apply to the NHBA, understand and scrutinize all financial matters, attend and participate in board and committee meetings, participate in discussions/deliberations within the Board and promote membership of the Association.
